Simple or Protected Data Load:SIMPLE:A Simple data load is exactly that - Simple. Just provide us with your data and we will load each USB Drive with the provided files. All file formats are considered acceptable with NO LIMITATIONS to the type of files that can be added to your USB Drive. That means, if you can save it to your computer we can add it to your USB Drive. It’s important to remember that with this type of unprotected data load, users will have access to add, delete, copy or rename any of the files stored on the USB Drive.PROTECTED:A Protected Data Load is comparable to the Simple Data Load with one major exception - DATA PROTECTION. Unlike the Simple Data Load which will allow users to modify/change the files stored on the USB Drive, the Protected Data Load provides the exact same data without the option to modify. A Protected Data Load gives added peace of mind in knowing the user will only have access to files intended for them to see.A Protected Data Load requires either drive locking or drive partitioning. Drive Locking: if you prefer to secure both your data files and any remaining memory from being modified or used, we will Write Protect (LOCK) the entire drive. When the user plugs in the USB Drive, it will function the same way a normal USB Drive would with one exception - the user will not be able to add, delete, copy or rename any item on the USB Drive. Drive Partitioning: if you prefer to lock your data files (as explained above) but keep the remaining memory available to the user, we will partition or split the USB Drive. When the user installs the USB Drive, "My Computer" will display two separate drives. One of the drives will have your data files LOCKED (see Drive Locking above) without option to modify. The other drive will consist of the remaining memory and appear as a normal USB Drive where the user can add or modify file(s) on that drive. ***Please contact your Sales Rep for more information on data pre-loads. |
